The Awakening - Video
A friend of mine was so kind to give me this nice video of the Awakening of his LX200 telescope and ST2000 camera. The night was nicely clear but very cold. Look exactly at the scope when the sun is coming in - you can see all the ice melting from the top of the telescope fast to the tripod. Very cool. Why is this scope filmed by a little webcam? Because I had some influence to my friend...now he is no longer at his telescope outside in the cold for imaging the sky - he is sitting in the warm

Weather-Forecast
Look at the image above, thats a „screenshot“ from a new weather station we are selling. That was the forecast for this week, look especially on the „Night“ signs! I like that and want that every week! :-)

New Image: IC-5146 LRGB
After a long period without a new image, I can present you all a new one. It was taken last year, and it was the first real remote image. That means I was sitting here in Zurich and acquired the image with the equipment about 400km away in Germany. It all worked really fine, of course there are some minor things to handle, but I am really surprised and happy that all went quite well. The only very sad thing is, that I didnt had the chance to image with my new remote observatory because of the

New Image: Comet Holmes
I have a new image for you! I am sure everyone of you have heard of the comet holmes which is visible since a few months in the nightsky. It is an amazing and very interesting comet because the brightness of it raised for a very high amount in a relative short time. And nobody knows exactly why. So its very nice to have your own image of this „event“. I didnt have good weather for capturing this comet but in the evening of the 16th of november I tried it - I needed an image of that thing! Merry Christmas!
24th of December. Childrens eyes are bright, its cold outside, everything is covered with snow, all radio stations playing christmas songs, then you realise that its christmas time again!
I wish everyone of you merry christmas, a wonderful time with your family and friends, thousends of (astronomical) gifts. Enjoy the time and relax!
